The U.S. EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grant (CPRG) Program aims to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases and other air pollutants.

Reducing Emissions
for a Resilient Region

The CPRG Program is a two-stage grant program that provides funding for planning and implementation grants to develop and implement plans for reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and other harmful air pollutants. The City of Knoxville is the lead organization representing the Knoxville MSA and was awarded a CPRG planning grant on August 1, 2023, to develop planning deliverables.

The Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP) was the first deliverable and was submitted to the EPA on March 1, 2024.

The Comprehensive Climate Action Plan (CCAP) is the second plan created for the Knoxville Region and is now available.
